Arti Chaudhary: The Uttarakhand Content Creator Turning Passion Into Purpose
Uttarakhand content creator Arti Chaudhary opens up about her journey, her love for content creation and travel, the challenges she has faced, and the dream that keeps her moving forward.
From completing a demanding solo journey to Kedarnath to learning how to deal with criticism online, Arti’s experiences have shaped a straightforward philosophy: do what makes you happy, keep learning, understand yourself and do not allow other people’s opinions to determine your path.
In this conversation, Arti talks about the person behind her ambitions, the dream she hopes to fulfil one day, one of the toughest journeys she has undertaken and the lessons she would pass on to anyone beginning their own journey.
What inspired you to pursue a career in this industry? Do you have any other dream or a dream project that you want to do one day?
Arti : My biggest inspiration has always been my mother. She has supported me throughout my life and stood beside me at every stage. Whatever I am trying to achieve today, a big part of it is because I want to do something for her in return.
One of my biggest dreams is actually very personal. I want to build a beautiful house of my own for my mother. I want to give her a home that belongs to us and represents everything we have worked for together.
Of course, I have dreams related to my career and content as well, but this is one dream that is especially close to my heart. Success becomes much more meaningful when you can use it to do something for the people who supported you before that success arrived.
Is there something new you're working on that you want your fans to know about? They're all waiting to know!
Arti : Along with creating content, I am continuing my education. I have completed my graduation, and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree.
I think this is something I really want my RTians to know because sometimes people feel that once they choose one passion, they have to leave everything else behind. I don't believe that has to be the case.
I am creating vlogs, motovlogs and travel content, but at the same time, I am continuing to study and learn. Managing both is not always easy, but it is possible when you know what you want and manage your time properly.
My message to everyone following my journey is simple: do what makes you happy and follow your passion, but don't underestimate education. Keep learning. Knowledge is something that will always help you, regardless of the direction your life eventually takes.
What’s the most challenging thing or project you’ve ever taken on? Do you get tired or scared of something, or some kind of work?
Arti : One of the most challenging things I have ever done was my trip to Kedarnath.
The season was close to ending, and I really wanted to complete the journey. I decided to ride solo on my bike at night, starting at around 9 p.m. It was a difficult route, with steep climbs and challenging stretches, and at one point I still had around 18 kilometres ahead of me.
There were definitely moments when it became exhausting. During that journey, I covered roughly 30 to 34 kilometres, and after covering such a long track in a single day, my legs were almost giving up. On the way back, my body was extremely tired.
But mentally, I kept telling myself, I can do this.
Eventually, I completed the Kedarnath up-and-down journey in a single day. It was physically exhausting, but it also taught me something about myself. Sometimes your body is tired and the situation looks difficult, but your mindset can still keep you moving.
That experience remains one of the most daring and challenging things I have done. Finishing it gave me confidence that I could handle situations that initially seemed beyond my limits.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received about working in this industry, and how do you handle the pressures of fame and public attention?
Arti : I don't really see fame or public attention as pressure. For me, it has given me opportunities to experience things I might never have experienced otherwise. I have been able to try new things, learn from different situations and keep pushing myself to give my best.
One thing that makes me particularly happy is when people recognise my work as someone from Uttarakhand. When someone tells me that I am making Uttarakhand proud, that means a lot to me. I feel proud that through my work I can represent where I come from.
At the same time, public attention also brings negative comments. That is something every creator eventually has to understand.
People will always have something to say. If you are doing something good, someone may still criticise you. If you make a mistake, people will criticise you. Whatever you do, there can be negative opinions.
So I have learned to concentrate more on the positive side. I don't want to give unnecessary negativity more importance than it deserves.
If my work is allowing me to learn, improve my life, support my family, represent Uttarakhand and inspire even a few people, then those things matter much more to me than a negative comment from someone who doesn't really know me.
What’s one thing you wish you knew when you were starting out? And what advice would you give to someone new trying to break into the industry?
Arti : I wish I had understood earlier that not everybody is going to like what you do — and that is completely fine.
When I started creating content, negative comments sometimes made me sad. When you are new, you can take those comments very personally because you have put your own effort and emotions into your work.
Over time, my perspective changed.
When content creation started helping me financially and allowed me to improve things for myself and my family, I realised that I couldn't allow random opinions to decide whether what I was doing had value.
My advice to someone starting out would be to focus on yourself and on what genuinely makes you happy.
Don't spend all your time trying to satisfy everybody, because you cannot. There will always be people who support you and people who don't understand you.
Self-love is very important. Before constantly trying to understand everyone else, learn to understand yourself. Know your strengths, your weaknesses, your limits and what you are capable of achieving.
Once you understand yourself better, other people's opinions don't control you as easily.
Not everyone will understand you, even if you make an effort to understand them. Accepting that can save you a lot of unnecessary stress.
So keep working, keep learning and focus on becoming better at what you do. Listen to feedback that genuinely helps you improve, but don't allow negativity to stop you from pursuing something that matters to you.
