Actress Anjana Sukhani shares a nostalgic memory of discovering that she and late actor Irrfan Khan attended the same school in Jaipur, reflecting on their time together on the film 'Sunday'.
Actress Anjana Sukhani, recently seen in Imtiaz Ali’s production Main Vaapas Aaunga, shared a heartwarming memory from her early career, revealing that she and the legendary late actor Irrfan Khan attended the same school in Jaipur. Sukhani, who shared screen space with Khan in Rohit Shetty’s comedy-thriller Sunday (2008) and Tigmanshu Dhulia’s drama Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns (2013), reflected on her personal interactions with the celebrated performer.
Recalling the discovery, Sukhani shared that while chatting on the sets of Sunday, the two actors realized they shared a common alma mater—St. Paul's School in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Although Khan was a super senior to her during his school years, discovering this shared background provided a warm, personal foundation for their conversations during filming breaks.
Speaking about working alongside Khan, Sukhani expressed deep admiration for his unique screen presence and expressive acting style. She noted that Khan possessed an innate intensity, where his eyes alone conveyed immense emotion without relying heavily on dialogue. She emphasized that his approach to craft left a lasting impression on everyone who worked with him.
Highlighting the void left by his passing in 2020, Sukhani concluded by stating that the entire Indian film fraternity and audiences worldwide continue to deeply miss Khan's singular talent, warmth, and enduring legacy.
