Operation Tral’ Teaser Unveiled: Jayasurya Frontlines High-Stakes NIA Mission Inspired by J&K Convoy Ambush

Goodwill Entertainments has officially released the first video teaser for its upcoming pan-Indian investigative action thriller, Operation Tral. Launched simultaneously in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, the multi-lingual teaser provides a visual glimpse into an investigative mission centered on national security and counter-terrorism operations.

Directed by acclaimed music composer Ratheesh Vega in his directorial debut, the film stars Jayasurya as a National Investigation Agency (NIA) officer. The narrative is inspired by real-world events following a fatal convoy ambush in Tral, Jammu & Kashmir, tracing the complex counter-intelligence response and field operations that unfold in the aftermath of the attack.

The teaser introduces the central mystery through intense operational sequences, high-octane tactical combat, and high-stakes interrogations. Jayasurya leads the action-driven narrative as an unyielding officer navigating layers of conspiracy, cross-border intelligence challenges, and tactical warfare across terrain boundaries.

The production scale is reflected in its multi-location filming strategy, with principal photography conducted across diverse landscapes including Kerala, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Kulu, Manali, Mussoorie, and Ladakh. In addition to helming the direction and story, Ratheesh Vega has also composed the original songs and background score for the project.

The ensemble cast features a mix of South Indian and Hindi cinema talent, including Murali Sharma, Vinay Rai, Siddique, Sai Kumar, Nandalal Krishnamoorthy, Rithika Singh, Kavya Shetty, Anson Paul, Sirajudheen, Vikram Kochhar, Yash Pal Gera, Mir Sarwar, Chandan Bisht, and Hansika Jangid. Produced by Joby George Thadathil under the Goodwill Entertainments banner with Sunimol Joby as co-producer, the feature is slated for a theatrical release in December 2026.
