PIB Dehradun to Organize Regional Media Workshop ‘Vartalaap’ in Chamoli

The Press Information Bureau (PIB), Dehradun, operating under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, is organizing a regional media workshop titled "Vartalaap" at Gopeshwar in Chamoli district. The interactive initiative aims to establish a direct communication bridge between the central government administration and grassroots journalists working across print, electronic, and digital media platforms throughout the border region.

Designed as an informational exchange program, the "Vartalaap" workshop focuses on sensitizing local media representatives about key central public welfare initiatives, rural development projects, and economic schemes. By engaging directly with regional correspondents, the bureau aims to ensure that accurate, fact-based information regarding government policies reaches last-mile communities effectively.

The workshop agenda will cover a broad spectrum of development-focused topics, including agricultural support systems, health infrastructure expansion, women's empowerment programs, and self-employment avenues for rural youth. Additionally, subject matter experts and district officials are scheduled to present insights on regional economic drivers, such as the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative and Geographical Indication (GI) tagging for local Uttarakhand products.
