Rajat Bedi Enters Marathi Cinema as Presenter for Upcoming Film ‘Bandhu’

Actor Rajat Bedi, known for his performances across Hindi and South Indian cinema, is expanding his professional horizons by making an official entry into the Marathi film industry. Bedi will present the upcoming Marathi feature film titled Bandhu, bringing his multi-generational family legacy in Indian filmmaking to regional Marathi storytelling.

The Bedi family has maintained a notable presence in Indian cinema across three generations. Rajat Bedi’s grandfather, Padma Shri awardee Rajinder Singh Bedi, was an acclaimed Urdu litterateur, screenwriter, and filmmaker who penned classics including Madhumati, Abhimaan, Devdas, and Anupama. Carrying that creative vision forward, Rajat’s father, Narendra Bedi, directed hit mainstream Hindi projects like Jawani Diwani, Rafoo Chakkar, Benaam, and Adalat.

Presented by Rajat Bedi through JSD Studio in association with TRIFLIX Entertainment, Bandhu is slated for a nationwide theatrical release on November 20. The project is written and directed by Nitin Sindhuvijay Supekar, with production handled by Pranav Desai, Juhi Desai, and Kuldeep Sunil Ojha.

Rajat Bedi began his career as a model after winning the Gladrags Manhunt title in 1994, going on to achieve widespread acclaim for his role in Koi... Mil Gaya. His filmography spans popular Hindi titles such as Jodi No. 1, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, Aksar, and Partner, alongside ventures in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Punjabi cinema. Recently, his acting performance in Aryan Khan's directorial project The Bads of Bollywood garnered widespread attention.

In addition to his acting career, Bedi brings considerable behind-the-scenes experience to his new role as a presenter for regional cinema. His involvement in Bandhu marks a major step in connecting Hindi industry veterans with content-driven regional ventures.
