Actress Shruti Shharma is currently featuring as Sonal Mishra in Alright TV’s web series Gangs Of Gorakhpur, produced by Rusk Media. Set against the backdrop of 1990s Gorakhpur, the raw drama explores friendship, ambition, and personal choices. Portraying a bold, outspoken 20-year-old who acts as a constant protective shield for male lead Raghav Chaturvedi (played by Namish Taneja), Shharma steps into an intense, multi-layered role unlike her previous screen performances.

The series recreated 1990s Gorakhpur during a 16-to-17-day outdoor shoot in Lucknow. Shharma shared that playing an outspoken character in a period setting required stepping out of her introverted personal nature.
