Brown Belt Karate Practitioner Sheena Chohan Harnesses 5 Years of Martial Arts Training for Pan-Indian Action Film ‘Jatasya Maranam Dhruvam’
Actress Sheena Chohan brings her real-life martial arts background and karate brown belt training to her upcoming pan-Indian action thriller 'Jatasya Maranam Dhruvam'.
Pan-Indian actress Sheena Chohan is bringing her real-life martial arts background to the big screen for her upcoming action thriller Jatasya Maranam Dhruvam. Playing the role of IPS Officer Anusha opposite J.D. Chakravarthy, the actress is utilizing years of personal combat training rather than relying solely on movie choreography.
Chohan, who holds a brown belt in karate and practiced mixed martial arts (MMA) daily for five years during her school days, shared insights into her preparation for the high-intensity role. She noted that her foundational training in combat sports instilled a level of physical stamina, mental endurance, and discipline that continues to influence her approach to fitness and screen performance.
In a recent training session alongside her stunt director, Chohan demonstrated defensive maneuvers, counter-attacks, and controlled strike sequences. Rather than learning action beats specifically for camera angles, her background allows her to execute movements with natural instinct and precision.
Reflecting on incorporating her skills into her cinematic roles, Chohan highlighted that possessing genuine combat experience provides a distinct level of confidence during action sequences. She emphasized that viewing fitness as a lifestyle makes transitioning into physically demanding roles both natural and enjoyable.
With the official release date announcement for Jatasya Maranam Dhruvam expected soon, Chohan’s portrayal of a law enforcement officer aims to deliver authentic combat energy and performance-driven action to audiences across regions.
