Jackky Bhagnani Traces His Musical Roots in ‘Music Paglu’ Series Following Release of ‘Tere Rang Mein’

Actor and film producer Jackky Bhagnani has offered audiences a glimpse into his personal connection with Indian film music through the debut episode of Jjust Music’s video series, Music Paglu Part 1. The reflection follows the recent release of the Independence Day single "Tere Rang Mein" under his music label, highlighting the personal and familial influences that shaped his entry into music production.
Bhagnani detailed his early upbringing surrounded by mainstream Hindi cinema, referencing his father, producer Vashu Bhagnani, and the iconic films produced under their family banner, Pooja Entertainment. Growing up around popular blockbusters starring Govinda and Salman Khan—such as Hero No. 1, Coolie No. 1, Biwi No. 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, and Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein—he developed an early appreciation for commercial soundtracks.
Recalling his childhood, Bhagnani shared how accompanying his father to music composition and recording sessions fostered his natural affinity for melodies and song arrangements. Observing music directors and lyricists shape hit tracks firsthand instilled a long-term goal to create a dedicated platform for mainstream and independent musical talent.
This foundational exposure eventually led to the inception of Jjust Music, an independent record label launched to provide a home for diverse musical content across pop, festive tracks, and patriotic anthems. Bhagnani noted that establishing the label served as an organic progression in his creative career, bridging his background as an actor and film producer with audio production.
With Jjust Music continuing to expand its catalogue through strategic artist collaborations and original releases, the Music Paglu series aims to share behind-the-scenes insights into the creative decisions and nostalgic inspirations driving the label’s ongoing projects.
