Renowned Bollywood casting director Mukesh Chhabra and celebrated choreographer Bosco Martis have officially launched ‘The Big Break’, touted as India’s first digital-native, multi-disciplinary talent hunt. Developed in collaboration with experienced format creator Rajiv Laxman and produced by BARD, the innovative platform aims to discover emerging actors, singers, and dancers under a unified competitive umbrella.

Departing from traditional television talent shows that often require candidates to endure long queues across multiple cities, ‘The Big Break’ transitions the entire auditing process online. Aspiring artists can participate by submitting acting monologues, vocal tracks, or dance routines through collaboration requests sent to the official @thebigbreakindia social media handles across Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat.

The selection mechanism operates transparently, with 40 to 60 entry clips selected daily to feature on the platform’s public channels. This format turns the audition process itself into real-time audience content. Selected top contenders will subsequently be brought to Mumbai for specialized mentorship, weekly digital showcase episodes, and live performance evaluations leading up to a large-scale on-ground finale.

Mentorship for the initiative relies directly on established industry experts rather than traditional celebrity judges. Mukesh Chhabra will personally guide acting participants through professional audition processes, while Bosco Martis will mentor dancers. High-performing vocalists will receive guidance from a designated panel of music composers, with opportunities to record original tracks under Martis’s record label, BLM Music.
