National Award-Winning Duo Amol Kagane and Shivaji Lotan Patil Reunite for Upcoming Marathi Film 'Murti'
National Award winners Amol Kagane and Shivaji Lotan Patil team up once again to present 'Murti', a thought-provoking Marathi cinema venture exploring contemporary societal realities through realistic storytelling.
When cinema mirrors real social dynamics, it transcends standard entertainment to become a powerful instrument for reflection and systemic change. Continuing their shared legacy of delivering meaningful, socially conscious narratives, National Award-winning producer Amol Kagane and acclaimed director Shivaji Lotan Patil are set to bring their newest Marathi feature, 'Murti', to the silver screen. Following the widespread critical acclaim of their previous joint ventures Halal and Bhonga, the duo's latest project promises to address pressing societal themes with depth and sensitivity.
Director Shivaji Lotan Patil has built a formidable reputation within Indian cinema for portraying delicate human emotions and complex social realities without resorting to melodramatic tropes. Having secured a National Film Award with his directorial debut, Patil’s filmography consistently reflects a grounded aesthetic, sharp narrative focus, and strong ethical storytelling. With Murti, he aims to offer audiences another emotionally resonant, thought-provoking narrative designed to encourage introspection regarding contemporary social values.
The upcoming film is backed by a collaborative production effort led by Amol Laxman Kagane, Laxman Eknathrao Kagane, and Shivaji Lotan Patil, with Patil also spearheading the story, screenplay, and overall direction. The creative team behind the scenes features several seasoned industry technicians, including Director of Photography Mayuresh Joshi, music composer Honey Satamkar, editor Nilesh Navnath Gavane, and sound designer Ramesh Inamati.
