‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu’ Arrives on OTT via Disney+
Following its May theatrical release, 'Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu' starring Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver makes its official OTT premiere on Disney+.
The latest cinematic chapter in the Star Wars franchise, Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu, has officially premiered on Disney+ for digital streaming starting September 2, 2026. The film's streaming debut follows its global theatrical premiere in May 2026, which marked the franchise’s return to the big screen after a seven-year hiatus.
Directed by Jon Favreau, the sci-fi action feature stars Pedro Pascal reprising his role as Din Djarin (The Mandalorian), alongside his companion Grogu. Set in the era following the collapse of the Galactic Empire, the storyline follows the duo as they assist the New Republic in hunting down Imperial warlords. The ensemble cast features franchise newcomer Sigourney Weaver, alongside Jeremy Allen White.
Despite generating a high audience approval score of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film recorded a modest theatrical run, earning approximately $345 million worldwide. It stands as a continuation of the narrative arcs established in The Mandalorian Season 3 and Ahsoka, while shifting the core relationship between Din Djarin and Grogu into a feature-length format.
