Bandhu’ Explores Brotherhood and Emotional Conflict: Upendra Limaye and Jitendra Joshi Team Up for the First Time

The upcoming Marathi feature Bandhu is set to highlight the emotional dynamics of sibling relationships, drawing thematic inspiration from the classical devotion between Lord Ram and Lakshman. Starring National Award-winning actor Upendra Limaye alongside IFFI award winner Jitendra Joshi, the film marks the first on-screen collaboration between the two lead actors.

Presented by veteran actor Rajat Bedi under JS D Studio in association with Triflix Entertainment, Bandhu is produced by Pranav Desai, Juhi Desai, and Kuldeep Sunil Ojha. The feature is scheduled for an all-India theatrical release on November 20, 2026.

Written and directed by Nitin Sindhuvijay Supekar—known for helming acclaimed features like Atpadi Nights and Sarla Ek Koti—the narrative delves into rural family structures, exploring themes of personal sacrifice, subtle ego, shared trust, and financial or emotional stress within a small-town household setting.

The story follows two brothers as they navigate internal conflicts and societal pressures, examining how deep-seated affection and pride collide when testy circumstances arise. The makers aim to present a realistic portrayal of everyday family bonds that mirror real-life domestic dynamics.

The musical score and background arrangement have been composed by Vijay Narayan Gavande, designed to complement the narrative's emotional beats and rural setting.

With its focus on human relationships and strong performances from a veteran lead cast, Bandhu aims to deliver a grounded, emotionally resonant theatrical experience for regional cinema audiences when it opens in theaters this November.
