Musical icon Sonu Nigam has added another distinct milestone to his spanning career with the launch of Chunni, his first-ever single in the Haryanvi language. Known for his ability to reinvent himself across genres and languages, the celebrated vocalist bridges urban hip-hop rhythms with the punchy, rapid cadence of Haryanvi folk pop to create a lively love anthem.
Released under Sonu Nigam’s music label I Believe Music in strategic partnership with Warner Music India and Global Music Junction, the track features co-vocalist Renuka Panwar alongside onscreen presence from Charmee Zaveri. Driven by upbeat percussion, infectious hooks, and Sonu Nigam’s signature vocal range, the track celebrates youthful romance, framing it as an upbeat soundtrack designed for festive playlists and celebratory occasions.
Speaking about his maiden venture into Haryanvi music, Sonu Nigam remarked that every generation and culture expresses love through distinct artistic lenses, noting that as musicians, the goal remains to give those emotions fresh melody. He described Chunni as a fun, romantic track built on a melodic structure and lively beats, adding that it represents the first of several upcoming cross-regional projects.
